Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uraipan Janvanichyanont, the President of Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU), along with the university's executive team, received the Premium-Level (Gold) MEA Energy Awards and a financial grant of 797,460 Thai baht at the 7th MEA Energy Awards ceremony on Friday, October 4, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Aksra Theatre, King Power. The event was organized by the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA).
Huachiew Chalermprakiet University is one of 19 Thai institutions to receive this prestigious award. The university met this year's special criteria, which differed from previous years, in three key areas:
1. Active involvement and genuine commitment from the University Leaders,
2. Outstanding sustainability practices, and
3. Improvements in energy usage and cost savings.
Since the initial implementation of its sustainability projects in 2012, HCU has received national and international awards attesting to its unwavering dedication to helping the world to attain its sustainability goals.
