Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) and the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine joined forces to sign a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance research on Thai and Chinese herbal medicine. The agreement aims to elevate the standards of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) clinics, specialized medical centers, and wellness centers, while also enhancing curriculum development, teaching and learning management, human resources, academic services, and health sciences, as well as science and technology related to TCM, Thai traditional medicine, and alternative medicine.
Mr. Chaiyachana Detdecho, Deputy Minister of Public Health, graciously presided over the signing ceremony, which took place on Friday, July 4, 2025, at the main stage of the 22nd Thailand Herbal Expo at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. The MoU was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uraipan Janvanichyanont, President of HCU, and Dr. Somruk Juengsaman, Director-General of the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine, witnessed by executives from both organizations who expressed their congratulations on this milestone collaboration.
